Help Expand Access to Affordable Housing in Prince William County
In 2022, our coalition was successful in pushing historic advancements in affordable housing policies in the Prince William County Comprehensive Plan. These advancements included:
- Affordable housing mentioned as a priority in the Prince William County Comprehensive Plan from 16 to 116 mentions.
- Clear goals made to fix the current deficit of 8,800 affordable housing units and address future population growth.
- Key policies implemented to create affordable housing units viable for developers to build this much-needed housing.
Now that the policies are in place, we must ensure that the Board of County Supervisors follows through with approving affordable housing developments.
